<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus constituted so that a positional deviation correction, a density correction and a θ correction can be rapidly performed in a short time. <P>SOLUTION: Correction image data used for the positional deviation correction, θ correction and density correction, etc., are separately stored in an EEPROM 53, wherein these correction data are stored as compressed data. The compressed correction image data are read out of the EEPROM 53 on user's demand or a shell close, etc., the read compressed image data are transmitted to a printer printing part 56 while applying expansion processing on the data, and printing onto recording paper is performed.
