PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lid pad of a packaging box which can be inexpensively manufactured and enables an article to be efficiently packaged. SOLUTION: The lid pad of the packaging box is formed with a flat portion 11 and a swell 12 by folding a sheet material, and inserted into a lid 10 of the packaging box for eliminating a difference in height of the article by a difference in height between the flat portion 11 and the swell 12. The swell 12 is formed by folding sides of the sheet material inward and outward so that a frame plate 4 forming a step stands. In addition, an end of the sheet material is folded to form a beam 13 on a side of the swell 12, whereby an engaging piece 9 protruding from the beam 13 suppresses a rebound of the swell 12.
