PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing material which not only can firmly adhere a substrate (display device substrate) to an opposite substrate (display device- protecting substrate) at a relatively low temperature but also is excellent in impermeability to oxygen and water. SOLUTION: A moisture-proof sealing film 17 comprises a low-melting metal- coated plastic particle 3 comprising a plastic particle 1 coated with a low- melting metal 2, and a resin composition 5. This moisture-proof sealing film 17 is contact-bonded under heat between the two substrates, the substrate (display device substrate) 16 and the opposite substrate (display device-protecting substrate) 18 to ensure retention of excellent moisture-proof characteristics.
