PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent variations of ink discharge characteristics as a result of a surrounding environmental temperature fluctuation in a device for driving an electrostatic inkjet head. SOLUTION: The driving device 1 for the electrostatic inkjet head 100 is equipped with an inkjet head control unit 2 and a head driver IC. The inkjet head control unit 2 calculates a pulse width of driving pulse signals from a corresponding table 300 stored in a ROM on the basis of the surrounding environmental temperature detected by a temperature detecting circuit 14. The driving pulse signal with the calculated pulse width is applied via the head driver IC 9 to a region between a diaphragm 107 (common electrode) and a counter electrode 109 (discrete electrode) of the electrostatic inkjet head 100, whereby ink liquid drops are discharged from an ink nozzle 105.
