PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of controlling lighting similarly even in the case of deciding a display row by the latch and even in the case of storing column display data in a memory by the latch in a panel-display. SOLUTION: In a display device which is provided with a panel-display which has the display elements arranged in a matrix shape and which is driven with a dynamic scanning system, column display data DYn are outputted at the time of a row address Yn-1 to a display row Yn and a latch signal is provided with a timing generator which outputs a latch signal before data Yn+1 are started after address data are updated to Yn. Since the display device is made so as to output column display data by outputting the latch signal after the row address is changed in this manner, the display device can control the lighting with the same input signal with respect to the panel-display of either type.
