PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a loop spring, which is thin, and does not occupy large space, and has excellent durability improved by modifying the shape of the spring so as not to cause fatigue breakage even if a repeated load is applied to the spring. SOLUTION: The loop spring 1, which is used as a return spring for an opening and closing part of a business machine, etc., uses a piano wire, a stainless steel wire for a spring, etc., as an element wire having a circular cross section, and has a coil part 2 having a circular arc shape single wound part 2a, arm parts 3 extending from the coil part 2 in the tangential direction respectively, and hooks 4 at the ends of the arm parts 3. The coil part 2, the arm parts 3, and the hooks 4 are formed so as to exist in almost the same plane. The hooks 4 are curled from the arm parts 3 in the same direction on that plane. When the loop spring 1 is used, the hooks 4 are engaged with a supporting point side pin and a movable point side pin, respectively. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
