PURPOSE: A method for retrieving telephone numbers in a mobile communication terminal is provided to simultaneously display many groups or names of a telephone directory on a display screen of the mobile communication terminal, thereby enabling a user to easily retrieve the telephone numbers. CONSTITUTION: A controller decides whether a user selects a telephone number retrieval menu(110). If so, the controller decides whether the user selects a group retrieval menu(112). If so, the controller displays many groups in page type(114). The controller decides whether the user selects each page shown on a display through a key input unit(116). If so, the controller moves to each page, and displays telephone numbers included in the pages(118). The controller decides whether the user completes a retrieving process(120). If so, the controller completes the procedure.
