<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera capable of performing an appropriate dynamic range enlargement processing corresponding to the luminance state of an object. <P>SOLUTION: As SL photographing modes, the digital camera is provided with the SL photographing mode SL2 for synthesizing a plurality of photographed images obtained by different exposures to the same object and generating one synthetic image and the SL photographing mode SL1 for performing a gradation conversion processing to the photographed images on the basis of an object luminance distribution. The digital camera is constituted so as to perform a photographing processing by selecting one of a photographing mode SL2 accompanied by the photographing mode SL1, the photographing mode SL2 not accompanied by the photographing mode SL1, the photographing mode SL1 and a normal photographing mode not using the SL photographing modes corresponding to a luminance difference within a photographed image surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
