<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color liquid crystal display device which can assure a prescribed uniform gap and can suppress the display defect occurring in the gap unevenness of liquid crystal panels by eliminating the inconveniences, such as the occurrence of nonuniformity in the height among respective spacers, the obstruction of the uniformity of the spacers and the occurrence of the display defect arising from the gap unevenness of the liquid crystal panels when the laminated spacers or single-layered spacers formed by using the same materials as the materials of colored layers of respective colors constituting color filters are used alone by utilizing these colored layers with the color liquid crystal display device and a method for manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: Spacer groups 24 are formed by mingling the laminated spacers 21 formed by laminating the materials of the colored layers 20R, 20B and 20G forming the color filters 20 and the single-layered spacers 23 and these spacer groups 24 are interposed and arranged between an array substrate 17 and a counter substrate 18. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
