PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output music received by a radio receiver so that a user is able to listen to it within the range not disturbing hands-free communication. SOLUTION: During hands-free communication, a main control part 11 judges from contents kind information received by the radio receiver 3 whether the contents received by the radio receiver 3 and outputted from a loudspeaker 8 are music, and when the contents are music, the main control part selects a frequency-attenuation pattern for attenuating the audio signal outputted from the radio receiver 3 more than that in the other frequency region within the frequency region of a voice band of a portable telephone, and sets an equalizer 52 to it. When the contents received by the radio receiver 3 and outputted from the loudspeaker 8 are not music, the main control part selects a frequency- attenuation pattern for highly attenuating the audio signal outputted from the radio receiver 3 in all frequency region, and sets the equalizer 52 to it.
