PURPOSE: Provided are sewage and wastewater treatment apparatus and method being capable of removing nonbiodegradable organics, heavy metals, nitrogen, phosphorous and deleterious particles by adsorbing, floating and oxidizing them by ozone bubbles. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of introducing wastewater into a liquid/gas mixer at a predetermined pressure, supplying compressed air to the liquid/gas mixer, mixing the wastewater and the compressed air in the liquid/gas mixer, compressing the air/mixed wastewater and temporarily storing the compressed one in a pressure tank, and supplying the compressed one in the pressure tank to a wastewater tank so as to remove contaminants in the wastewater by floating the contaminants, wherein micro ozone bubbles are supplied to the wastewater tank along with the compressed air. The apparatus comprises a pressure pump(4) for transporting wastewater in wastewater tank to a liquid/gas mixer(2), a compressor(6) for supplying compressed air to the wastewater in the liquid/gas mixer(2), an ozone generator(12) for supplying ozone to the wastewater in the liquid/gas mixer(2) along with the compressed air, the liquid/gas mixer(2) for mixing wastewater, compressed air and ozone, a pressure tank(8) for temporarily compressing and storing the mixture of wastewater, compressed air and ozone, a supply pipe(18) for supplying the compressed air/mixed wastewater to the wastewater tank, and a pressure valve(10) connected to the supply pipe(18).
