<p>The invention relates to a rivet arranged to be provided in a hole for joining at least a first plate (1) and a second plate (2) in a plate joint. The rivet has an end portion (6) which comprises a cutting surface (6’) which allows for making of said hole through the first plate (1) and the second plate (2) when the rivet is supplied with a rotary motion.
