PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surgical gauze packaging material which can be formed into a package at a cost as low as possible and handled easily at the time of surgery, wherewith the total number of the surgical gauzes before and after the surgery can be counted easily and troubles such as leaving-behind of gauzes after the surgery can be prevented. SOLUTION: Five lines of gauze holding parts 3, 3... each in a straight-line vertical incision are arranged parallel with one another at one end of a gauze holder 2 made of a soft synthetic resin. Each of surgical gauzes 1, 1... is held at its one corner 1a with the gauze holding part 3, and a specified number of surgical gauzes 1 and the gauze holder 2 are put as a unit in package. The total number of the gauzes is reckoned before the surgery by counting the number of the gauze holders 2, and after the surgery, the used gauzes are held on the gauze holder 2 and the total number of the gauzes is reckoned by counting the number of the gauze holders 2. |
