PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide front car body structure of an automobile, in which collision energy absorption at a time of frontal collision is certainly implemented as well as a compact engine room, without restriction in layout of a vehicle is compatibly abailable. SOLUTION: The front car body structure of an automobile comprises: a suspension member 7 disposed to a power unit 1 on a rear side of the vehicle and elastically supported under a side frame 6 through an insulator 8; and a suspension link 9 attached to the suspension member 7. In the structure, the insulator 8 has a fitting shaft 8a whose upper end is attached to the side frame 6 to vertically extend and whose lower end portion is fixed to an insulator side interfering member 12, a front end portion 12a of the insulator side interfering member 12 is opposite to a rear end portion 9a of the suspension link 9 in a vertical direction of the vehicle.
