MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR PERMANENT MAGNET, AND PRESSING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an anisotropic bond magnet at low cost by avoiding a problem due to residual magnetization. SOLUTION: Magnetic powder (HDDR powder) is supplied into a cavity of a pressing device to form the anisotropic bond magnet. By using a magnetic member that is steadily magnetized, a weak magnetic field is formed in a space containing a cavity by a static magnetic field. While the magnetic powder is oriented in a direction parallel to a direction of the weak magnetic field, the magnetic powder is moved to the inside of the cavity. Then the magnetic powder is compressed in the cavity, to manufacture a molded object. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
