<p>A filament is brought into a crimping chamber where it is folded and crimped against a mass of previously crimped filaments. The chamber has a flat piece with side edges interacting with feed rolls. Devices for mounting the latter consist of spindles carrying the various rolls, bearings on each end of the rolls, as well as bearing housings supported by brackets. The bearings, which are connected to at least one of the spindles, are mounted eccentrically in their respective housings. The latter are mounted so that they can be rotatably adjusted on the bracket, to set the relative position of the roll to the flat piece.</p> |
