PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-contact transmission/reception system of a measuring instrument the use time of which is not shortened while being provided with a protection mechanism. SOLUTION: The system is constituted by linking a measuring instrument main body 10 with an external processing means 2 via an electromagnetic coupling 5. The measuring instrument main body is provided with a signal processing circuit 12, a built-in battery 13, a control signal receiving circuit 14 that receives a control signal to be transmitted from the external processing means and provides it to the signal processing circuit and a processing signal transmitting circuit 15 that transmits a processing signal from the signal processing circuit to the external processing means 2. The external processing means is provided with a control signal transmitting circuit 22 that transmits the control signal and a processing signal receiving circuit 23 that receives the processing signal to be transmitted from the measuring instrument main body. The external processing means is provided with a power supply circuit 24 that transmits electric alternating current to the measuring instrument main body and the measuring instrument main body is provided with a power receiving circuit 16 that receives power based on amplitude of the electric alternating current and provides it to a power consumption part of the measuring instrument main body.
