Passive electronic element as multilayer structure of molten glass layers with conductive track has recess(es) for functional ceramic body

The passive electronic component is a monolithic block of molten glass substrates with deposited conductive tracks. At least one glass substrate contains one or more recesses, into which is insertable electrically functional ceramic body, pref. of ferrite ceramic. Typically capacitive ceramic is used, e.g. multilayer ceramic capacitor. The thermal expansion coefft. of ceramic body corresponds to surrounding glass material. Pairs of ceramic bodies may be used, one of ferrite ceramic and the other of capacitive ceramic.
