A rubber mixtures contains a silicate filler plus a combination of mercaptoalkyl-triorganosilane and organoxy group-containing siloxane. A rubber mixture contains: (A) rubber(s); (B) a silicate filler; (C) an organosilane of formula (I); and (D) an organoxy group-containing siloxane with units of formula (II), comprising 1-100 mol % units with one or two siloxane groups (M and D structures respectively) and less than 10 mol % units with three siloxane groups (T structures). R1R2R3Si-R4-SH (I) R6R7R8Si-R5 (II) R1-R3 = 1-30C alkyl or alkoxy; R4 = optionally unsaturated 1-6C hydrocarbylene; R6-R8 = OH, optionally unsaturated 1-30C alkoxy or a siloxane residue (-OSiR5R6R7 or -OSiR5R7R8 or -OSiR5R6R8), at least one of these groups being siloxane; and R5 = an optionally unsaturated 1-30C hydrocarbon group. Independent claims are also included for (1) a method for the production of rubber mixtures by compounding the components in a mixer, components (C) and (D) being added together or separately; and (2) molded products obtained by vulcanizing these mixtures.
