<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide negatively charged toner which improve transfer efficiency by decreasing fogged toner and reverse transferred toner as far as possible. <P>SOLUTION: The work functions of hydrophobic negatively charged silica 15a and 15b of the negatively charged toner 8 are smaller than those of toner mother particles 8a, metal oxide particulates 13 and rutile anatase type titanium oxide 14 and therefore the negatively charged silica 15a and 15b stick to the toner mother particles 8a, then the particulates 13 and the titanium oxide 14 having the work functions greater than those of the silica 15a and 15b stick to the particles 8a in the form of coming into contact with the silica 15a and 15b. The fogged toner and reverse transferred toners can be decreased as far as possible and the transfer efficiency can be more effectively improved by using the particulates 13 and the titanium oxide 14 in combination. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
