<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify piping and enhance durability of a cooling device, in the cooling device of an engine constituted of cooling water passage arranged around a combustion chamber. <P>SOLUTION: A thermostat 20 having a selector valve is arranged to a downstream side of the exhaust manifold 3, so as to make a water dress part 43 of an exhaust manifold 3 to always be in a water flow state, and a passage of cooling water returned from the thermostat 20 to a cooling water pump 4 is provided inside the exhaust manifold 3. A passage of cooling water returned from a fresh water cooler 14 to the cooling water pump 4 is provided inside the exhaust manifold 3. The cooling water passing via the exhaust manifold 3 is supplied to the cooling water pump 4 via the same member regardless of opening/closing of the thermostat 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
