PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic globe plug which is free from nonconformity such that a nonoxide ceramic insulating body comprising a ceramic heater of the ceramic globe plug is corroded and vanished under combustion environment of an internal combustion engine and therefore a heating body inside the ceramic heater is often corroded and oxidized. SOLUTION: This ceramic globe plug is so constituted that the surface roughness of the ceramic insulating body 12, or the surface of the ceramic heater 2 wherein the heating body 11 is embedded in the ceramic insulating body 12, is set to 10μm or less in ten-point mean surface roughness.
