<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for a flat conductor, which can surely retain a positional relation of the flat conductor to a contact terminal 5 fixed to a housing. <P>SOLUTION: A operating member 7 rotatably held on a housing containing a plurality of contact terminals 5 and being able to insert and hold a flat conductor is provided, and grooved slits 7b are provided at positions corresponding to respective conductor portions of the flat conductor on a side end of a rotation axis of the operating member 7. A portion 5b of the contact terminal 5 for engaging with the operating member is engaged with the slit 7b, and a contact portion is brought into contact under pressure with the conductor portion of the flat conductor. Since the portion 5b of each of the contact terminals 5 for engaging with the operating member enters the slit 7b provided at the end of the operating member 7, a positional relation of the conductor portions of the flat conductor to the contact terminals 5 does not deviate even when the operating member 7 is laterally moved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
