PURPOSE: A knife coating method is provided to improve strength of the knife by glow discharging titanium, silver or gold on knife or blade under the vacuum state so that the titanium, silver or gold is coated on the knife or blade and obtain antibacterial power by coating silver on the knife or blade, and a knife coated by the method is provided. CONSTITUTION: In a method for processing a non-ferrous metallic or metallic knife, the knife coating method comprises the processes of installing titanium electrodes on the inner circumferential surface and outer circumferential surface of a furnace for coating the surface of the knife; and simultaneously vacuuming the furnace so that argon gas is injected into the furnace and air in the furnace is exhausted and injecting one or more gases selected from argon, oxygen and nitrogen into the furnace, thereby glow discharging the one or more gases injected into the furnace so that the surface of the knife is coated in various colors, wherein blade of the knife is coated in multilayer having gold or silver color.
