Use of a polymer, salt or copolymer which is characterized by a combination of repeat units having the formula (IV) where R1, R2 and R3 is H or CH3, R4 is a hydrophobic group, and m is 0-4. Formula (IV) is combined with at least one lipase inhibitor. Use of a polymer, salt or copolymer characterised by a combination of repeat units having the formula (V) where R1 is H or CH3, R4 is a hydrophobic group, R5 is an alkyl chain from C1 to C22, and m is 0-4. Formula (IV) and (V) are used for the treatment of steatorrhea, hypertriglyceridemia and reducing absorption of dietary fat.
