VIDEO/AUDIO REPRODUCING APPARATUS

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize stable video/audio output by distributing/relieving the processing load on a system control microcomputer thereby enhancing the processing efficiency as an entire video/audio reproducing apparatus at the time of reproducing a moving picture file. SOLUTION: Processing of a selector 103 that separates A/V multiplex data into audio data and video data according to management information data and transfers the data to an audio decoder 107 and a video decoder 108 is separated from a system control microcomputer 111 and a processing section comprising comparatively simple hardware performs the processing on behalf of the selector 103. The processing section is independently operated of the control of the audio decoder 107 and the video decoder 108 with respect to the moving picture file reproduction, references the management information data and properly supply data in response to the request of data by the audio decoder 107 or the video decoder 108.
