<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication apparatus capable of applying transmission power control to both a DPCH (Dedicated Physical Channel) and a DSCH (Downlink Shared Channel). <P>SOLUTION: The wireless communication apparatus of this invention adopts a configuration of a mobile station side where the dedicated physical channel is used to control the transmission power of the downlink shared channel, and is characterized in that the apparatus includes: a control section 8 that sets initial transmission power when the DSCH is open and sets again the initial transmission power before the reception frame when a DSCH non-reception period is n-frames or more after that; a TPC (Transmission Power Control) bit generating section 9 for generating TPC-bits to instruct the base station to increase/decrease/hold the transmission power during reception by the DSCH; and a transmission control section 11 for informing the base station about the initial transmission power and the TPC bits by using the DPCH. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
