PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling device usable in a satisfactory condition even under conditions in which large contact stress acts and non-lubrication. SOLUTION: In a steel-made rolling slide member causing relative rolling contact or slide contact between a mate member and it, a diamond-like carbon layer 5 having lubricity is provided on a contact face with the mate member. The diamond-like carbon layer is composed of five layers, namely, a metallic layer A having at least one kind of metal, a first composite layer B having metal and carbon, a carbon layer C having carbon, a second composite layer D having fluorine compound and carbon, and a fluorine compound layer E on an outermost surface.
