PURPOSE: A method of forming electric equipment specifications is provided to automatically make out the electric equipment specifications for a wiring harness design, by standardizing a standard type about the vehicle specifications and building database. CONSTITUTION: A method of forming electric equipment specifications includes steps of removing options unnecessary for electric equipment from designed vehicle specifications and making electric equipment-related vehicle specifications(S200); comparing the electric equipment-related vehicle specifications with a standard type recorded in database and deciding whether the electric equipment-related vehicle specifications is included in a new specification among the whole specifications(S300); abstracting a standard type corresponding to the appropriate specification from the database(S400); adding an electric equipment application specification to the abstracted standard type and forming electric equipment specifications(S600); and converting each electric equipment specification into option codes(S700) and making out completed electric equipment specifications, and recording in the database as data by the kinds of vehicles and at the same time applying the completed electric equipment specifications to an electric equipment process(S800,S900,S1000). Thus, quickness and reliability in making out the electric equipment specifications is secured and the quality of design is improved.
