PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a regenerative heater installation tool that enables a worker to move a regenerative heater by himself without scratching the flooring material, and to provide a regenerative heater installation method that enables the worker to move the regenerative heater and carry out maintenance work or the like by himself. SOLUTION: The installation tool is prepared for the regenerative heater 9 wherein heat is generated by a heater and stored in a heat storage block. The tool comprises a fork member 3 that can be inserted underneath the regenerative heater 9, a slide member 4 provided at the base of the fork member 3, a vertical guide member 5 liftably supporting the slide member 4, and an operating lever 6 lifting and lowering the fork member 3 through a fulcrum S.
