OXYGEN ION CONDUCTIVE SOLID ELECTROLYTE, ELECTROCHEMICAL DEVICE AND SOLID ELECTROLYTE TYPE FUEL CELL OBTAINED BY USING THE ELECTROLYTE

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxygen ion conductive solid electrolyte exhibiting excellent oxygen ion conductivity even at low temperature, an electrochemical device having high measurement sensitivity and a solid electrolyte type fuel cell having high power generation efficiency even at low temperature.

SOLUTION: The oxygen ion conductive solid electrolyte contains scandia- stabilized zirconia (scandia solid solution quantity: 9-14 mol%) and titanium element and is obtained by firing a composition containing a zirconium compound (zirconia powder or the like) and a scandium compound (scandia powder or the like) which constitute the scandia stabilized zirconia and a titanium compound (titania powder or the like). Gallium element can be contained in the oxygen ion conductive solid electrolyte. The electrochemical device and the solid electrolyte type fuel cell are manufactured using the oxygen ion conductive solid electrolyte.
