<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily obtain an antireflection film which decreases reflectance in a wavelength region where human eyes have high sensitivity in a limited number of layers without decreasing visibility. <P>SOLUTION: The film thickness of the thin film constituting the antireflection film is determined by using the evaluation function F(λ) defined by formula (1). In formula (1), R(λ) is a function representing the reflectance of the antireflection film, V(λ) is a function representing the sensitivity of human eyes for light at wavelength λ, I(λ) is a function representing the spectrum of the light entering the antireflection film, and m is a positive real number. The values of the evaluation function F(λ) are obtained for various film thicknesses and the thickness giving the minimum value is selected so as to obtain the optimum antireflection film with given number of layers. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
