摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily obtain an antireflection film which decreases reflectance in a wavelength region where human eyes have high sensitivity in a limited number of layers without decreasing visibility. <P>SOLUTION: The film thickness of the thin film constituting the antireflection film is determined by using the evaluation function F(&lambda;) defined by formula (1). In formula (1), R(&lambda;) is a function representing the reflectance of the antireflection film, V(&lambda;) is a function representing the sensitivity of human eyes for light at wavelength &lambda;, I(&lambda;) is a function representing the spectrum of the light entering the antireflection film, and m is a positive real number. The values of the evaluation function F(&lambda;) are obtained for various film thicknesses and the thickness giving the minimum value is selected so as to obtain the optimum antireflection film with given number of layers. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
