PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve such a problem that time needed to one cycle from supply of a part to completion of a welding is not sufficiently shortened. SOLUTION: In a system for supplying a shaft-like part 1 with flange into electrodes 28, 29 in an electric resistance welder while holding this part 1 with a holding member 4 advanced/retreated with a driving device 6, when the holding member 4 is retreated to a position at non-interference in the advancing space of the electrode 28, the welding is performed by advancing the electrode 28. Further, the supply of the shaft-like part 1 with flange into the holding member 4, is performed by carrying the above part to a waiting position of a part supplying passage 14 with carrying-air spouted simultaneously with the start of return-back movement in the driving device 6 and supplying from the waiting position to the holding member 4 simultaneously with the completion of return-back movement in the driving device 6. Therefore, since some movement and the next movement are continued or duplicated, the welding cycle time can be shortened. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
