PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manually-operated tool holder for machining center capable of conveniently performing additional machining of a small number of workpieces and machining of a material whose machining error is impermissible. SOLUTION: A tool spindle D rotated and driven from the machining center M through a tool holder body A and a travel sleeve E for a bearing are inserted and fitted in play into the inside of a cover case C positioned and fixed to the machining center M and the holder body A in such a way that only advance, retraction, and moving along a rotary central line Y-Y of the holder body A are possible to keep a rack gear 76 on the travel sleeve E and a pinion gear 36 on a pinion gear shaft 35 attached to the cover case C in a meshing condition. The pinion gear shaft 35 is turned and operated by a manually- operated handle 51 to advance, retract, and move the tool spindle D and the travel sleeve E. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
