POWER LOAD LEVELING ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power load leveling electrical and mechanical device which enable prevention of power failure when power supplies are switched, produces less power loss, is simple in construction, and allows reduction in size of the device.

SOLUTION: The electrical and mechanical device comprises an electrical and mechanical apparatus connected with a commercial power source 1, and a power supply portion 20A provided with a secondary battery 21. The electrical and mechanical apparatus comprises a load device connected with the commercial power source 1; a rectifier circuit for converting alternating current into direct current, placed between the commercial power source 1 and the load device; and an inverter circuit 13 for converting direct current into alternating current, placed between a rectifier circuit 12 and the load device. The secondary battery 21 is connected with the inverter circuit 13. A switching circuit 31 for battery connection for connecting and disconnecting the secondary battery 21 and the inverter circuit 13 is placed between the secondary battery 21 and the inverter circuit 13.
