There is herein provided a curable composition comprising an active hydrogen-containing material and a curing agent having a urethane-containing moiety of the structure: <IMAGE> wherein R is hydrogen, an alkyl, alkenyl or aryl group, wherein X is hydrogen, an alkyl, alkenyl or aryl group, or wherein X is a moiety of the structure: <IMAGE> of which R1 and R2 are, each independently, hydrogen, an alkyl, alkenyl or aryl group, or members of a cyclic or heterocyclic group. The curing agent may be present as a separate component or an integral component with the active hydrogen-containing material.
