<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition for ink jet recording having high jetting stability and free from defects of hue, weather resistance, water resistance and quality aspect. <P>SOLUTION: The ink composition for ink jet recording is obtained by dissolving or dispersing a specific phthalocyanine dye into at least one kind of aqueous medium.
