<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make suitable the display control of a background image and a three-dimensional (3D) image for improving the effect of a 3D expression in a 3D image display device in which the background image and the 3D image can be simultaneously displayed. <P>SOLUTION: The device is provided with a first image control means 40 and a second image control means 50 for respectively controlling a first image display device 21 for displaying the background image and a second image display device 24 for displaying the 3D image. The background image controlled by the first image control means 40 is transmitted through a transmission plane 15 of a half mirror 13 and watched by a player. The 3D image controlled by the second image control means 50 is transmitted through the transmission plane 15 of the same half mirror 13, next reflected by a concave mirror 12 and a reflection plane 14 of the same half mirror 13 to be formed on the front side of the background image.
