<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superior limb-inferior limb blood pressure index- measuring system which can accurately evaluate the reliability of an ankle- brachium blood pressure index (ABI). <P>SOLUTION: A propagation speed ratio R(PWV), which is a ratio between an inferior limb pulse wave propagation speed baPWV calculated by an inferior limb pulse wave propagation speed information-calculating means 78 and a superior limb pulse wave propagation speed hbPWV calculated by a superior limb pulse wave propagation information-calculating means 80, is calculated by a propagation speed information ratio-calculating means 82. Also, the propagation speed ratio R(PWV) is displayed on a displaying apparatus 68. The reliability of ABI can be evaluated based on the propagation speed ratio R(PWV). Also, the propagation speed ratio R(PWV) is a ratio between the inferior limb pulse wave propagation speed baPWV and a superior limb pulse wave propagation speed hbPW which is actually calculated on the same biological body, and is not affected by a difference depending on an individual or the body condition of the individual and so forth.
