<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide soft magnetic steel which has excellent cold forgeability, particularly in the dimensional precision of molded parts, and can secure excellent magnetic properties on a level of the JIS-SUYB-O class by performing magnetic annealing after molding. <P>SOLUTION: The soft magnetic steel contains C, Si, Mn, Ti and N so as to satisfy 5<[Ti]/[N]<20 ä[Ti] is the content (mass%) of Ti, and [N] is the content (mass%) of N}, and has a metallic structure of a ferrite single layer. In the ferrite crystal grains, Ti based precipitates having a mean grain diameter of 0.5 to 1 μm are present in 2 to 8 pieces/100 μm<SP>2</SP>on the average, and the number of Ti deposites having a mean grain diameter of ≥1 μm are present in ≤1 piece/10,000 μm<SP>2</SP>on the average. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
