<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of converting a wide dynamic range image into a narrow dynamic range image without gradation inversion and increasing noise. <P>SOLUTION: In the step S1, an image processing section acquires the wide dynamic range image signal. In the step S2, the image processing section acquires an exposure correction coefficient parameter set corresponding to the selective operation by a user. In the step S3, the image processing section produces the narrow dynamic range image on the basis of the acquired wide dynamic range image in response to the acquired exposure correction coefficient parameter set. In the step S4, the image processing section decides whether or not the user satisfies the processing result in the step S3. Concretely, the image processing section decides whether or not the user depresses an OK button.
