PURPOSE: A rotary fluid mover is provided to achieve improved use efficiency by compressing gases without using a valve and permitting the fluid mover to be used as a power generator for generating power from gas or steam having a pressure. CONSTITUTION: A ring type rotor(1) is covered with a stator cover(6) so as to form a working chamber(7). The working chamber is divided by a separator plate(2) which is fixed at the ring type rotor. The working chamber rotates in accordance with the separator plate during the rotation of the rotor. A piston(4) is mounted on the stator cover in such a manner that the piston rotates at the speed same as the rotation speed of the rotor. The piston has a protrusion protruded downward from the stator cover in such a manner that the working chamber is blocked by the protrusion and the working fluid contained in the working chamber is prevented from passing through the piston during the rotation of the working chamber. The piston has a separator pin passages formed symmetrically with each other. The separator plate is arranged to avoid a collision with the piston blocking the working chamber. The piston has a fluid inlet(9) and a fluid outlet(8) communicated to the working chamber.
