The air mixing unit (1), for a motor vehicle air conditioning system, has a control (13) which rotates around a swing axis (14). It has an axial control surface (15) at right angles to the swing axis to set the dimensions of the flow opening (6) to the mixing zone (3). A radial control surface (16) is at a radial gap from the swing axis and parallel to it, to set the dimensions of the radial flow opening (8) into the mixing zone. The control has at least one sealing lip (19).
