<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a lid body which can form a seal having high sealing properties without increasing costs, and can easily form the seal even when the lid body is made of a metal having relatively high rigidity such as steel. <P>SOLUTION: A small diameter 8 is formed by contracting the entire circumference of an upper fringe of a cylinder 5 along the periphery of a roof 4 of a lid body 1a. Next, a material 13 of a seal 6 is supplied to the inner surface of the roof 4 turned upward by turning the lid body 1a upside down. A space 18 having a shape corresponding to the seal 6 is formed by making the tip of a cylindrical outer punch 15 inserted into the cylinder 5 contact with the inner circumference of the small diameter 8. The material 13, which was supplied to the inner surface of the roof 4 and melted, is pressed by a center punch 14 inserted into the outer punch 15, and the seal 6 is formed by supplying the material 13 into the space 18. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
