PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an edge tool having abrasion resistance, defect resistance and long life suitable for grinding a frozen rubber, frozen food, or the like. SOLUTION: A grinding blade is manufactured from a WC alloy based on WC and containing 5-30 wt.% of a bonding phase of Co or Ni. By using the WC alloy in the production of the grinding blade, the grinding blade showing no low temperature brittleness like a ferrous material at a temperature (60-90°C of frost or lower) at the time of freeze grinding, generating no crack and having long life can be obtained. This grinding blade is especially suitable for grinding a frozen rubber or frozen fishes and shellfishes into a fine powder. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
