PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the retention of supplied hot water in a heat exchanger. SOLUTION: A tube 2 is formed by bonding two sheets of heat transfer plates 4 being opposite to each other and composed of a pressed plate material. An inlet tank part 22 and an outlet tank part 23 of the tube 2 are provided with communication openings 24, 25. Bushings 27, 28 are inserted inside the inlet tank part 22 mounted at a lower part, and a space lower than the communication opening 25 is closed. Thereby the hot water can be fully discharged through the communication opening 24 when the operation of a hot water supply device is stopped, and the retention of the supplied hot water in the heat exchanger 1 can be prevented.
