To form an end bond in a wire cable, to be fastened at a building construction, a ductile sleeve (4) is pressed in place around the cable (3) with a given pressure. The actual breaking strain of the cable can be transferred to the anchor, the cable end has a non-slip character, and can withstand temperatures of at least 300degreesC for at least 30 minutes. The sleeve is pressed home by a wedge coupling unit (5,6). The sleeve before use has an inner diameter which is 0.5-2.0 mm larger than the cable diameter, with a wall thickness of 0.5-2.0 mm and a length which is three to four times the cable diameter. |
