PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and easily check the residual capacity of a built-in battery at any time in a stroboscopic device which emits light interlocked with the shutter of a camera provided separately by using the built-in battery as a power source. SOLUTION: By incorporating a battery check means in the stroboscopic device, applying the same load current as at the actual working time from the built-in battery when checking the battery, and measuring voltage at that time, the residual capacity of the battery is obtained and displayed.
