PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonradioactive nuclear fuel assembly transport vessel equipped with a clamshell-type fuel assembly inner liner whose inside dimension is just adapted to the outside envelope of a fuel assembly to be transported and whose outside dimension is adapted to a general overpack tubular vessel. SOLUTION: The liner is inserted into the overpack tubular vessel supported by a buffer support system inside a bird cage frame. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
