PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery exchanging device to improve workability when a carrying truck is coupled to a motor driven vehicle and reliability of a work. SOLUTION: A pair of lock members 63 which can be oscillatorily displaced within a vertical face are mounted on a front end part on the carrying truck 50 side, a slope plate 28 is mounted in a position corresponding to the lock member 63 on a rear face 26 on the motor driven vehicle 20 side, and a lock hole 31 capable of being locked at the lock member 63 is formed in a battery containing part 25. By approaching the carrying truck 50 to couple it to the motor driven vehicle 20, the lock member 63 is guided by the slope place 28 and reaches the lock hole 31 as it is rotated and automatically locked under its own weight. Thereby, since a work to lock the carrying truck 50 and the motor driven vehicle 20 at each other is effected in linkage with a moving work to a position where a load is changed to other vehicle, the work is excellent in reliability and workability.
